The Odyssey
I think the them of the stroy is to never over or under estimate the power of some one. i think in book 21 ponlope plan th string the bow. in this book they have to sting the bow and all the men try but none of them sucseed. but one odssyes dose it he sucseds. "just let him try the;he'll see the truth" (pg:429 line:181) he strung the bow and proved them all wrong. they dident think the old nasty bagger could do this. but the bager was actualy odsseys.
another example on the them is on all the pepole doubt him. Right before he shoots no one can belive him(at this point he is still a bagger) "you, you grubby swinerherd, are you crazy?" (pg:436 Line:405) all them men think he is crazy and dont think he can do it. and they just think it is the bagger and he wastent turnd back. so the under estimated the bagger and then found out it was odsseys. and thats why is think it drives back into the them.
the last qute is that discribs the them of never over or under estimate the power of some one by all the sutiter yelling at odsseys and at this point they dont know what they have coming to them. "your game is over-you,you've shot your last!" "you'never escape your own headlong death!" "You killed the best in ithaca-our fine prince!" vultures will eat your corpse!" (pg:440 Line:28-31) I think that the suteirs doing this agrvated him. it got him mad the peppole die bucese of his anger.
never over or under estimate the power of some one. i think that this is a good them bucuse it hapens in the book and ends up pepole die cuse of it. if this happend in real life and evary one was juged we would not know about any one. then is why i think its a good them
